Let's be honest – lighting is one of those things most investors leave until last. But here's the thing: it's one of the cheapest ways to make a room feel bigger, warmer and more "finished." Get it wrong and even a beautifully refurbished room can feel flat, cold or just a bit... off
Good lighting does three jobs:
1. It makes the space feel inviting (so tenants actually want to live there)
2. It supports daily tasks - reading, cooking, getting ready
3. It photographs well (hello, faster lettings)
Think of lighting like seasoning in cooking. You wouldn't serve a meal without salt - so don't hand over a room with just a single pendant bulb dangling from the ceiling.
